On July 3, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh H. E. Mr. Zheng Qingdian paid a courtesy call to Hon'ble Adviser of Culture and Education, Mr. Ayub Quadri.

                              

    Ambassador Zheng said the cultural exchange between the two peoples dates back to ancient times. The Chinese side has always attached great importance to the cultural and educational exchange and cooperation between the two countries. Lately, there are more and more exchanges in the field of culture and education. Frequent exchange visits have been made by the government officials, performance teams and art groups from both sides. The friendship enterprise between the two peoples has been strengthening and prospering. The founding of Confucius Institute of North-South University, the first institute specializing in Chinese language teaching has exerted great influence and become a window for Bangladeshi people to learn Chinese and understand China. In addition, the exchange of the higher learning institutes, research centers are in full swing. More and more Bangladeshi youths are going to China to receive education.
