Ambassador Li Jiming attends the China-Bangladesh Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum 2021

On 28th September, 2021, Mr. Li Jiming, Ambassador of China to Bangladesh, was invited to attend the China-Bangladesh Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum 2021 and the Inauguration Ceremony of the Seventh Council of Chinese Enterprises Association in Bangladesh (CEAB) online and delivered a speech. H.E. Salman F Rahman, Private Industry and Investment Adviser to Prime Minister, Government of Bangladesh also attended the Forum and delivered a speech online. Other guests, including Mr. Md. Sirazul Islam, Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA); Mr. Md Nazrul Islam, Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA); Mr. Shaikh Yusuf Harun, Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA); Mr. Md. Jashim Uddin, President of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industries (FBCCI); Mr. Faruque Hasan, President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA); Mr. Gazi Golam Murtoza, President of Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCCI) and Mr. Rizwan Rahman, President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), attended the Forum. In addition, about 100 representatives from the political and business circles of China and Bangladesh and media participated in the event online.

This forum was held by CEAB for the first time. The theme of the Forum was "Deepening Friendship and Overcoming Difficulties together to Create a New Prospect of China-Bangladesh Economic and Trade Cooperation in the Post Pandemic Era". The participants made full speeches and discussions on further deepening the pragmatic cooperation between Chinese and Bangladeshi enterprises and promoting the long-term healthy development of China-Bangladesh economy and trade.
