Ambassador Yao Wen Attends 2024 Chinese Government Training Programs Inauguration Ceremony

On 3 April, H.E. Mr. Yao Wen, Ambassador of China to Bangladesh, attended the 2024 Chinese Government Training Programs Inauguration Ceremony. More than 140 people attended the event, including Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain,Additional Secretary & Wing Chief of Economic Relations Division, officials from concerned authorities, representatives of the participants, representatives of Chinese institutions in Bangladesh, Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classroom, and major media participated the ceremony.

Ambassador Yao said in his speech that the number of training programs and personnel provided by the Chinese government to Bangladesh this year has reached a new high, with the total number of trainees exceeding 500. The number of bilateral seminars reaches 19, ranking first in the world, covering such areas as financial cooperation, investment promotion, exhibition organization, agricultural product processing, customs on-site supervision, water project and railway construction, Chinese language teaching, sports and media, etc.

Ambassador Yao pointed out that both China and Bangladesh are at a critical stage of development and revitalization. China and Bangladesh have set a good example of mutual respect and win-win cooperation. China has been and will always be Bangladesh's most reliable partner and trustworthy friend. The consensus reached by the two state leaders on strengthening personnel exchanges and deepening people-to-people and cultural exchanges has injected vigor and vitality into the development of bilateral relations. He noted that the prospect of China and Bangladesh relations will be even brighter with the seminar candidates’ participation and dedication.

Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain, Additional Secretary, Wing Chief of ERD, Ministry of Finance and representatives from Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief spoke highly of the achievements of cooperation between China and Bangladesh, thanked China for its help in promoting Bangladesh's economic and social development, and expressed willingness to work with China to promote cultural exchanges and mutual learning between the two countries, and bring the level of cooperation between China and Bangladesh to a new height.
